Day 1 - Saturday - Rome
Upon arrival, check into hotel and enjoy the afternoon at leisure.
Tonight, a welcome dinner with music at a local Italian restaurant in the ultra-trendy Trastevere District of central Rome. Overnight at Holiday Inn Parco dei Medici 4 Star or similar.
Day 2 - Sunday - Rome
After breakfast, a 3-hour Rome sightseeing tour highlighting St. Peter’s Basilica, Lungotevere, Isola Tiberina, Circus Maximus, Colosseum (outside), Santa Maria Maggiore, Piazza della Repubblica and Via Nazionale. Then by foot to Trevi
Fountain. Lunch, afternoon, dinner and evening is at leisure. Overnight at hotel.
Day 3– Monday - Tuscany’s Chianti Region
After breakfast, transfer to Tuscany’s picturesque Chianti area including a short visit to Cortona and Monteriggione. Lunch at leisure.
Dinner and overnight at Hotel La Loggia 3 Star or similar.
Day 4 - Tuesday - San Gimignano
After breakfast, the sights of San Gimignano, then to Fattoria San Donato to visit their cellars and enjoy a cooking class. Next, a visit to Castellina in Chianti. Dinner and overnight at hotel. Cooking class includes demonstration of two typical Tuscan country courses then served as lunch with local cheeses, cold meats and more.
Day 5 - Wednesday - Florence
After breakfast, a classic guided walking tour includes the Cathedral, Piazza della Signoria and Santa Croce Church. Lunch and afternoon at leisure.
Dinner and overnight at hotel.
Day 6 - Thursday - Siena
After breakfast, a half-day walking tour of Siena. Lunch at leisure then a cooking class with Lella Cesari at the Scuola di Cucina.
Dinner & overnight at hotel.
Scuola di Cucina Lella Cesari
Chef Lella Cesari has two passions – The Palio and her cooking school. She is famous for teaching typical Tuscan and Senese courses having researched the old secrets and flavours of the Italian tables in Siena. The typical class includes preparation of 4 courses which is then served as dinner for you with wine and water.
Day 7 - Friday - Siena to Verona & Venice
After breakfast, you're off to Venice, stopping at Verona to enjoy the sights on your own. Lunch is also at leisure.
Dinner & overnight at Hotel Plaza Venezia - Mestre 4 Star or similar.
Day 8 - Saturday - Venice
After breakfast, your English-speaking guide will escort you via private boat and coach to Venice centre for a 3- hour tour including St. Mark’s Square, The Cathedral and Doge's Palace. Lunch at leisure with the afternoon free to explore. At 7:00 pm, enjoy a farewell dinner at centrally located restaurant Taverna dei Dogi. Overnight at hotel.
Day 9 - Sunday - Venice
After an early breakfast, transfer to Venice Marco Polo Airport for your return flight to Toronto if flying with ALBATours on Alitalia.

Hotel La Loggia is a charming hotel nestled
amid the grandeur and beauty of the rolling Tuscan Hills of the Chianti Region, several kms north of Siena on the famous “Chianti Road.” Views are spectacular. The hotel has 25 spacious rooms and is designed in traditional Tuscan style (red geraniums blooming in beautiful terra cotta pots dot the lovely grounds).
Facilities Include:
An outdoor pool set amid gardens facing the famous vineyards of Chianti Classico, a terrace, breakfast room & dinner room, bar.
Accommodation:
Wonderful views of the surrounding hills, pay mini-bar, colour satellite TV, twin or double beds and bathroom with tub and/or shower. Some rooms have ceiling fans. Air-conditioning is not available.
