During your mellow days on the coast, consider a tour to the enchanting Isle of Capri and/or the little towns of the Amalfi Coast: Ravello presents spectacular vistas of the Bay of Salerno and two lovely gardens; Positano, where a cascade of houses clings dramatically to the hillside around its lovely blue, green bay (quite too beautiful to miss) and Amalfi, where the historical Cathedral of St. Andrew and its 11th century bronze doors from Constantinople reside.

Day 1, Saturday - Rome
Upon arrival you'll transfer to your hotel and have the balance of the day and evening at leisure. Overnight at Hotel Atlantico 4 Star or similar.
Day 2, Sunday - Rome
After breakfast, you'll depart on a morning city tour of Rome including such highlights as the Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon, Piazza Navona, Castle St. Angelo and St. Peter's Basilica. Your afternoon and evening are at leisure - the perfect opportunity to enjoy the shops, restaurants and piazzas of the Eternal City. Overnight at hotel.
Day 3, Monday - Rome to Naples, Pompeii, Sorrento
(no stop or visit of Montecassino)
Today you head to Sorrento, passing Montecassino you will be able to see the Abbey of Montecassino from the highway known for the largest WWII cemetery in Italy, containing over 4,200 grave markers, including those of 855 Canadian soldiers. In Naples, you'll have a panoramic tour of this world famous city, and then on to Pompeii for a guided tour on foot. One of the largest and richest cities of its era, Pompeii was destroyed and buried by the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in 79 A.D. and re-discovered at the end of the 16th century. The site is both touching and fascinating, and among the unique sights are deep ruts in the streets marking the trail furrowed by chariot wheels. There is an opportunity to visit a coral and cameo factory where you may purchase items of this ancient craft. You¿ll then leave for Sorrento proceeding along the Amalfi Coast, one of the most beautiful panoramic roads in all of Italy (well, anywhere really!). Dinner and overnight at Grand Hotel Flora 4 Star or similar.
Day 4 & 5, Tuesday & Wednesday - Sorrento
Enjoy two glorious days at leisure in Sorrento. Perhaps some shopping, or one of the optional tours available suits you, or you can just relax and enjoy the ambience of the hotel. Dinner & overnight at the hotel both nights.
Day 6, Thursday - Sorrento to Rome Airport (at leisure)
After breakfast, check out and spend the rest of your day sightseeing in Sorrento or perhaps rent a car for the remainder of your journey. If you have purchased the "Air & Tour" Package, your airfare is valid for 21 days without surcharge. Please choose an available ALBATours Italy operating flight for your return to Toronto and find your own way to Rome's Fiumicino Airport for departure.
