Day 1 - Friday - Florence (via Rome) to Siena
Upon arrival in Rome, you’ll proceed directly to catch your connection flight to Florence, where upon arrival you’ll transfer to your hotel. If you are a “Tour Only” passenger, meet your Tour Representative at the Florence airport to board coach transfer to Siena. Enjoy the scenic drive to Siena, in the beautiful Tuscany region. Check into NH Hotel Excelsior 
or similar in city centre, rest of the day at leisure.
Dinner and overnight at hotel. or similar.
Day 2 - Saturday - Excursion to Castellina in Chianti
After breakfast, you’ll head out on a full-day excursion in the Chianti area. This starts with a meeting with local chef Laura Masini and shopping for fresh produce for your cooking lesson. You will then be transferred to Querceto wine estate for your lesson and for lunch based on the courses prepared during your cooking class, before you set out again stopping at Radda in Chianti and at Brolio Castle. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 3 - Sunday - Excursion to Montalcino, Pienza
After breakfast, you’ll meet your English-speaking escort for a full-day excursion to the Val d’Orcia area. You’ll visit Montalcino and the St. Antimo Abbey in the morning, an area known for its Brunello wines, and have lunch and a wine tasting at the Fattoria Altesino in Montalcino. In the afternoon, the tour will continue on to Pienza and its charming city centre, returning to Siena in the early evening. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 4 - Monday - San Gimignano, SienaFollowing breakfast at the hotel, you’ll head out for San Gimignano for a short visit with free time in the town for shopping. You will then head to Fattoria San Donato for a wine tasting, cellar visit and light lunch, followed by a transfer back to Siena for a guided tour of the town. The tour will take you to the Cathedral, Piazza del Campo, San Domenico Church and around the city centre. The rest of the day you can enjoy at leisure, exploring Siena, shopping and for dinner. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 5 - Tuesday - Siena to Florence After breakfast, you’ll check-out of the hotel and depart for Florence, “Cradle of the Renaissance.” En route, you’ll stop in Monteriggioni, a medieval village, for a quick visit, before carrying on to Florence and checking in at Italiana Hotels Florence (formerly the Holiday Inn Florence) or similar in the city centre. Enjoy your lunch at leisure before meeting your guide in the city centre for a walking tour of the city, visiting the Cathedral, Piazza della Signoria and Santa Croce Church. Dinner at leisure and overnight at the hotel.
Day 6 - Wednesday - Excursion to Cinque Terre
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before departing on your full-day excursion to Cinque Terre, explore the coastline via local train or on public ferry
(weather depending), making stops in the picturesque fishing villages of Riomaggiore, Manarola, 16 Vernazza and Monterosso. Lunch is at leisure, returning
to Florence in the evening for dinner and overnight.
Day 7 - Thursday - Florence to Rome
Check-out of the hotel after breakfast and depart via coach for Rome. Along the way, you’ll stop in Orvieto, accessing the city centre by cable car, where
you will visit the magnificent Cathedral, followed by lunch with wine tasting at Enoteca Pozzo della Cava. When you arrive in Rome, you will check into the
Grand Hotel Beverly Hills or similar and enjoy the balance of the day at leisure to explore, shop and enjoy this ‘Eternal City’. Dinner at leisure, overnight at the hotel.
Day 8 - Friday - Rome
After breakfast, enjoy a guided tour of the city. Your panoramic tour by coach includes views of Lungotevere, Castel Sant’Angelo, the Roman Forum, the Colosseum (outside), with visit to St. Peter’s Basilica (inside) and ending at the Trevi Fountain. Lunch and the balance of the day is yours to enjoy at leisure before returning to the hotel in the evening to meet for your farewell dinner at the Restaurant Meo Patacca, located in the Trastevere district. Return to the hotel after dinner for overnight.
Day 9 - Saturday - Rome
After breakfast, check out of the hotel and transfer to the Rome airport for your return flight to Toronto if flying with ALBATours on Alitalia.
